So here it is, Lana Del Rey’s new video for my favorite song from her “Born To Die” album: National Anthem. A couple of weeks ago, A$AP Rocky divulged a few details about the upcoming video, and beside the fact he reveiled he stars in it as John F. Kennedy, he was pretty sure nobody would get the true meaning behind the video till 2015:

“I play JFK, she plays Jackie O. It’s some cool trippy shit, some real 2015 shit. People are gonna get it in like three years, and that’s the whole purpose of it.”

As for Lana Del Rey, all she had to say about the video directed by Anthony Mandler was:

“Every so often, I top what I’ve done, and this video is definitely the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. I wrote a treatment for me and A$AP Rocky, because i just thought he’d be really perfect to star in it. … I love it.”

At the risk of bruising A$AP, after watching the video, and after the launch of their common joint for his album that he renamed ‘My Bitch’ instead of former title ‘Ridin’’, it’s pretty self-explanatory: Lana Del Rey is entering the slutty era.

All in all, A$AP > Bradley Soileau and ‘National Anthem’ is Lana Del Rey’s best vide-hoe.
