And you’re not the only one Lana!

Lana Del Rey’s “Burning Desire” song got the video treatment, and as expected it’s linked to Jaguar’s brand.
I guess the launching date is no accident. Everybody’s on Valentine’s day (’s eve) is supposed to be feeling a burning desire, ain’t it so?
As for the video itself, Lana Del Rey is rocking the same look she was during the 2012 Paris Motor Show when she served as a model for the Jaguar F-Type luxury automobile and performed “Burning Desire” as another avenue of promotion. From what can be read on YouTube, the song will also serve as the soundtrack for an eponymously titled short film starring Damian Lewis scheduled for later this year. -

Beyoncé as the new face for Pepsi while she’s married to the Coke man and now Lana Del Rey drinking Coke while her pussy tastes like Pespi cola?
Man, I’m confused with all that cola shit. -

I know from now everybody has already seen it, hated it or loved it, but I had to post Lana Del Rey’s newest video.
I don’t know if the Native American feathered warbonnets was Anthony Mandler’s idea but I’d like to thank him because it appears at the climax of the video and the song when she sings:
I’m tired of feeling like I’m fuckin’ crazy
I’m tired of driving ‘till I see stars in my eyes
And I’ve already made it clear I’ve loved those headdresses since I’m a kid.
There’s no denying the video, in spite of its length, is impossible to look away from. One more masterpiece to Mr Mandler’s credit (he is the director responsible for “National Anthem” and M.I.A “Bucky Done Gun”)
And damn, I identify myself so much with the final tirade:I believe in the person I want to become.
I believe in the freedom of the open road. And my motto is the same as ever —
I believe in the kindness of strangers. And when I’m at war with myself — I ride. I just ride.
Who are you? Are you in touch with all of your darkest fantasies?
Have you created a life for yourself where you’re free to experience them?
I have.
I am fucking crazy. But I am free.
And to all those who’re gonna come with their feminist speech: she’s not depicting the ideal of freedom fo women, she’s just in love with those imaginary female characters who are hyper-sexual, hyper-feminine, extremely vulnerable women involved in dark love stories, submissive to their men, some stereotyped bad boys that they need to feel happy (just see her other videos).

C’est la caissière qui a dû être contente… tout comme Monoprix à qui Lana Del Rey fait de la pub gratuite!
(Sorry, I had to write this in French, just saying the cashier must have been suprised and glad, just like French supermarket Monoprix for which Lana is doing free advertising with that plastic bag) -

I’ve been out on that open road
You can be my full time, daddy
White and gold
Singing blues has been getting old
You can be my full time, baby
Hot or cold
Don’t break me down
I’ve been travelin’ too long
I’ve been trying too hard
With one pretty song
I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been tryin’ hard not to get into trouble, but I
I’ve got a war in my mind
So, I just ride
Dying young and I’m playing hard
That’s the way my father made his life an art
Drink all day and we talk ’til dark
That’s the way the road doves do it, ride ’til dark.
Don’t leave me now
Don’t say good bye
Don’t turn around
Leave me high and dry
I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been tryin’ hard not to get in trouble, but I
I’ve got a war in my mind
I just ride
I’m tired of feeling like I’m f*ckin’ crazy
I’m tired of driving ’till I see stars in my eyes
I look up to hear myself saying,
“Baby, too much I strive, I just ride.”
I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been tryin’ hard not to get in trouble, but I
I’ve got a war in my mind
I just ride -
Lana Del Rey next single cover?
First we heard she was shooting a new video last week:
U.S. singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has been shooting a music video in and around Las Vegas for her new CD. Del Rey’s comeback campaign has already started months in advance of the November release of “Paradise.” Video shoots took place at the Valley of Fire on Monday, the Clarion Hotel’s showroom on Sunday and at various downtown hotels. Extras were wearing biker gear and rode motorcycles. It’s the video for her single titled “Ride,” a track for her upcoming album.

Now we’ve got the following picture:
Lana Del Rey recently dyed her hair black, that desert landscape could totally be from the Valley of Fire, and she’s wearing modern cowboy gear that could easily be associated to bikers’ aesthetics.
So yes, it might be her new single ‘Ride’ ‘s cover.
UPDATE: IT IS THE ACTUAL SINGLE COVER -
Who said Lana Del Rey couldn’t sing?
Right after H&M x Lana Del Rey’s private show at The Wooly in downtown Manhattan yesterday night in which she sang her version of ‘Blue Velvet’ (just like she does in the Swedish brand TV commercial), reactions amongst the audience were:“She’s way better in person!” “She didn’t put me to sleep like I’d expected!” “She looked amazing!” and “Oh my god Lana I love you so much can we hang out sometime?”

Today was Lana Del Rey’s day in fashion news. Fashion? Yes sir! First because she sat front raw at Mulberry Spring/Summer 2013 show alongside Kate Moss and Alexa Chung. And because the extended version of her commercial for H&M has been leaked (yes, this one was only a snippet).
Watch the full David Lynch-esque video of the diva singing ‘Blue Velvet’ below: -

You were tired of seeing Lana Del Rey everywhere and thought it would be over after a whole year of hectic media coverage? Wrong!
After recently gracing a fashion editorial shot by Ellen von Unwerth for the August edition of Vogue Italia, the glamourous singer, who managed in a bit more than 13 months to be part of both fashion world and music world, will be on the cover of the October issue of Vogue Australia, prettily styled in pastels and a floral Gucci dress
But it doesn’t stop here since there will be an exclusive Lana Del Rey interview and photoshoot in British GQ Magazine’s October Issue too… which she covers naked!
Sorry!

Congratulations to Lana Del Rey for winning “Woman Of The Year” at the 2012 GQ Awards in London tonight!
Congratulations bis for the new hair color! -
The Skatorialist mixtape vol.4
I know I’m late since I usually post it on the very first day of each month, but it’s because I was trying to find a way of not losing the former mixtapes, since Soundcloud doesn’t let you create more than 3 mixtapes for free.
From now on, once the month is over, the monthly mixtape is added to the very first one which became a compilation of all the mixtapes posted from the very beginning.Listen now to the Skatorialist mixtape vol.4!

Lana Del Rey has been criticized for being an all-over creation, over-acting a character she invented, but even if her gangsta Nancy Sinatra persona is fabricated, one thing for sure is that her aesthetic is fascinating and that whenever she’s on stage, acting in her videos, or shooting for a fashion editorial, she embodies a powerful style, that she managed to make hers: big retro hair, long false lashes, even longer false nails, and lots of soft pouting.
It’s no accident that, after having shot her for LoveCat Magazine sooner this year, Ellen von Unwerth photographed the singer once again for the August 2012 issue of Vogue Italia.
If you like the above shots, don’t miss the behind the scene video below.
