I guess Edmond Haraucourt’s words in Rondel de l’adieu (translated by “Song of Farewell”) are the best way to describe what I feel:

To part means to die a little,
To die for what you love.
It is to leave a piece of your heart,
Any time, any place, any part..
It’s always the lament of one’s desire,
The final verse in a string of verses.
To part means to die a little,
And when one parts, it seems at the beginning easy,
Just like a game, right up to that final goodbye,
It’s the soul that will remain behind,
That behind us remains in every goodbye…
To part means to die a little.
Anyway, being lucky enough to meet Charlotte Gainsbourg while walking down Champs Elysées made my trip to Paris worth it =)
P.S: All pictures by me -
“That Paris exists and anyone could choose to live anywhere else in the world will always be a mystery to me.”
Ouch!

Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto
Manifesto by James Bort from James Bort Factory on Vimeo.
The luxury house Yves Saint Laurent gave carte blanche to the photographer James Bort in order for him to create a video clip for the launch of the Manifesto fragrance.
“This movie is a little tale with no morality. It speaks of Art and Desire and is featured in Paris and New York. It is also a woman’s manifesto, the YSL woman I imagine deeply in love with freedom and creation”Beautiful.

Parisii

If you’re a Paris lover and a skateboarding enthusiast like me, you’ll probably get thrilled to hear that Greg Dezecot and Olivier Fanchon decided to produce a series of skate videos in which the main attraction aren’t the pro skaters but the city’s spots themselves. They chosed to focus on the city, which is the video star, and the “fun” that you can find shredding the city of lights.
But in order no to make it a maelstrom, it was decided to cut Paris, logically enough, by districts. So, this is a team effort between the skaters and the film makers to showcase Paris and its suburbs which are really different and super rich in terms of spots and trick possibilities. Congrats and thanks Nike and Liveskateboardmedia for supporting the project.

SIZE? PARIS

A couple weeks ago, UK retailer size? opened its first “continental” branch, located in the Châtelet les Halles, the most “urban”/streetwear shopping district of Paris, France, a neighborhood already home of several important sneaker shops of the French capital like Opium.

To celebrate its opening, the British sneaker shop has created 12 pairs of orange/white mesh Nike Air Max 1 iD with the recognizable size? question mark and now trademark present on the tongue tag.
For a chance to get your hands on these exclusive sneakers, you must visit the size? Paris store and physically fill out a contest/grand opening flyer. The contest closes on November 30, and winners will be chosen randomly afterwards.

But if you don’t win the shoes, don’t worry, you will have the opportunity to discover a coveted deadstock pair from the size? vault, featuring a selection of sneakers dating as far back as 2004.
I won’t lie, I can’t wait for January to get there and check what they have!
